The VdZ (Wirtschaftsvereinigung Gebäude und Energie e.V.) is committed to sustainable and energy-efficient building technology. Its members provide technologies and measures for the economical, energy-efficient modernization of buildings and are a driving force for the implementation of energy and climate targets.
As an industry association, it represents the interests of the three-tier value chain of building and energy technology: industry, wholesale and installation trades. Since 2019, it has been specifically networking suitable startups with the SHK industry and bringing startups to relevant industry trade fairs and events, for example. At SHK+E ESSEN 2026, VdZ will again support the exhibition area for young startups.
