How does municipal heat planning differ in Germany and the Netherlands? What trends are there? What can we learn from current projects for future implementation?
SHK+E ESSEN is centrally located in Europe's largest conurbation. This is why interested trade visitors from neighboring countries who are willing to invest are also among the trade fair's guests. The BeNeLux Day on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 is aimed at them and invites exhibitors and visitors to make cross-border contacts. Numerous companies will provide information in the respective national language and will also have multilingual staff at their stands on this day.
Solutions for energy-efficient and sustainable heating will be with us in Germany and the Netherlands in the coming years.
Whether in the form of district or local heating, as a combination of different heat sources or through high-efficiency systems in individual buildings is the subject of controversial debate. The local solutions are just as varied.
Since November 2023, it has been clear that municipalities throughout Germany must develop and implement a municipal heating plan. Some federal states and cities are already one step ahead and have already gained experience in implementation. In the Netherlands, municipalities have already submitted their "vision for the heat transition" (Transitievisie warmte) by the end of 2021 and are now in the process of putting their plans into practice.
At the German-Dutch Municipal Heat Planning Forum, municipalities, planning organisations and installation companies will report on practical examples from both countries.
Together with the audience, they will discuss what good solutions can look like, what requirements are necessary and, last but not least, where market opportunities lie in the neighbouring country.
