Key Building Blocks for the Heating Transition:
Danfoss at SHK+E 2026

Efficiency Optimization for Heating Systems of All Sizes
At SHK+E 2026 (March 17–20 in Essen), Danfoss will focus on key components for optimizing the efficiency of heating systems—from single-family home heating to district heating networks. The main emphasis of the booth presentation is on energy savings and CO₂ reduction through digital system controls and highly precise hydraulic balancing. Visitors will find Danfoss in Hall 3, Booth 3C15.

Residential Buildings: Efficiency‑Optimized Heating Operation with High Comfort
To ensure optimal heat supply in residential buildings, Danfoss will showcase pressure‑independent balancing and thermostatic valves for dynamic hydraulic balancing, as well as smart heating systems for intelligent room temperature control in radiator and underfloor heating systems. A highlight is the RA‑DV thermostatic valve series, which meets the standards for Energy Efficiency Class A defined by ISO 52120‑1 and ISO 16484‑4 in accordance with the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), thanks to its integrated differential pressure controller.

For multi-family buildings, Danfoss will also present residential substations for renovation and new construction— the latter including matching expansion modules for electric domestic hot water reheating in systems with low supply temperatures. As a powerful and cost‑efficient solution for replacing outdated heating controllers, Danfoss will also display self‑acting thermostatic heads with highest control accuracy and response speed.

Commercial Buildings: Demand‑Optimized Hydraulics for Heating and Cooling
For precise dynamic hydraulic balancing in commercial buildings, Danfoss will present a digitally controlled HVAC system solution. It consists of pressure‑independent control valves (PICVs) with intelligent actuators, as well as motorized 6‑way valves for switching between heating and cooling operation. The solution can be integrated into building automation systems via BACnet MS/TP or Modbus RTU. This enables exact, demand‑based adjustment of heating and cooling circuits in non‑residential buildings, facilitating significantly above‑average energy‑efficient system operation.

District Heating: AI‑Based Network Control and Efficient Heat Transfer
In the district heating segment, Danfoss will showcase its Leanheat Software Suite. It enables AI‑supported design, monitoring, and real‑time control of district heating systems—including forecast‑based heat generation planning and determination of the individual heat demand of connected buildings.

Also on display are intelligent flow and differential pressure controllers that ensure precise hydraulic balancing and stable flow conditions in district heating and district heating networks. As interface solutions for efficient, low‑loss heat transfer to building heating systems, Danfoss will present building and transfer stations equipped with high‑efficiency plate heat exchangers and strong heat transfer capacity.

Insights into More Than 90 Years of Danfoss History
In addition to its current solutions, Danfoss will offer fascinating insights into more than 90 years of company and innovation history—from the invention of the world’s first radiator thermostat in 1943 by company founder Mads Clausen to today’s intelligent, connected hydraulic systems. The booth experience is rounded off with a prize draw related to company history and information about the Danfoss podcast HeizungsTuner.
