As the first highlight of the year, SHK+E ESSEN will bring the industry together at Messe Essen from March 17 to 20, 2026. The focus of the important trade fair for sanitation, heating, air conditioning and electrics will be on hybrid heating systems and heat pumps, cross-sector solutions and smart sanitation technology. Numerous exhibitors have already registered for the future platform at this early stage, including almost all major heating manufacturers in Halls 1 and 3, including the Bosch Home Comfort Group, Buderus Germany, Danfoss, Max Weishaupt, Oventrop, Vaillant Germany and Viessmann Germany. They will meet a high-caliber specialist audience such as practitioners from the HVAC trade, technical building services planners/experts and representatives of the wholesale trade.
"SHK+E ESSEN is one of the most important trade fairs for us every two years. As we are not only completely renewing our heat pump portfolio this year, but also taking our energy management to the next level, we are really looking forward to 2026. We want to show visitors in Essen that we are continuing to drive forward the key topics in the industry with our innovations - for even more sustainable, energy-efficient and future-proof heating systems," explains Dr. Tillmann von Schroeter, Managing Director of Vaillant Germany. The mood at STIEBEL ELTRON is also positive: "We are already looking forward to SHK+E ESSEN and the opportunity to present our new wpnext product portfolio to a broad specialist audience. The trade fair is the perfect start to 2026 for STIEBEL ELTRON, as we will meet a number of HVAC professionals with purchasing expertise and a high level of interest in heat pumps and green technologies. Showcasing our innovations, talking shop with visitors, sharing our enthusiasm with them and seeing them become fans of our brand - we're really looking forward to it," announces Burkhard Max, Managing Director of STIEBEL ELTRON Deutschland Vertriebsgesellschaft.
Great interest in the future of building technology
Heating and energy systems for heating with electricity play a decisive role on the way to greater sustainability and security of supply. At SHK+E ESSEN, the electrical range will be located in direct connection to the heating technology in Hall 3 in order to promote synergies. The main focus here is on cross-sector solutions for dovetailing heat, electricity and mobility. In addition to the heat pump as a key technology, this includes complementary products such as photovoltaics, battery storage, energy management systems, wall boxes and inverters. According to the latest survey, more than half of the trade visitors at the trade fair are interested in the future of building technology. This offers a wide range of technical solutions: This is why manufacturers at SHK+E ESSEN, as an open-technology platform, will also be presenting gas and liquid-based heating systems, for example.
Registration for the mobility sector now open
Exhibitors from the mobility sector will also find their target group at the trade fair. Suppliers of e-mobility, vehicle equipment, fleet optimization, charging infrastructure, logistics planning and commercial vehicles will benefit from high demand, as efficient and economical mobility solutions are more in demand than ever in the HVAC trade. Increasing environmental regulations, the growing focus on sustainability and the ongoing development of alternative drive technologies are presenting the industry with challenges. At the same time, the trend in building technology is moving towards holistic energy solutions that also take mobility into account.
